Cultural Mentorship Program

The Cultural Mentorship Program is designed to empower families and children of Intertribal Child and Family Services to increase knowledge and participation in Aboriginal Culture and activities.

A Cultural Mentor can assist with providing Culturally appropriate services based on the needs of the individual child or family, such as;

  • One to one Cultural Mentorship
  • Advocacy for Cultural Services
  • In house Culturally appropriate Parenting Program
  • A network of Community Resources
  • Referrals to culturally appropriate services such as
    • Sweats
    • Ceremonies
    • Teachings with Elders
    • Medicine picking and Berry picking
    • Pow Wow Dancing
    • Aboriginal Boy Scouts
    • Sports and Recreational Activities

The Cultural Mentorship Program is available to any child or family that is receiving services from Intertribal Child and Family Services
